§ 821 - Establishment

The Jorge Alberto Ramos-Comas Legislative Internship Program is hereby established in the Legislature of Puerto Rico. It shall be directed and administered by the Joint Committee created in § 822 of this title.

The Legislative Internship Program is geared to offer university students an educational experience which will combine the theoretical and practical elements of the legislative processes and their interaction with the Executive and Judicial Branches.

This Program seeks to promote a greater awareness among its participants of the importance of the legislative process in the pursuit of the common good and at the same time develop expert talents and a future interest in remaining connected with this Branch of Government.
