§ 488 - Abandonment of service by Government officials or employees—Transfer of savings from emergency

After a state of emergency has been declared to exist pursuant to the provisions of § 487 of this title, all savings in the funds of the department, dependency, or agency affected which accrue from said emergency, shall, under §§ 487-492 of this title, be transferred to the organizations which have charge of the operation and maintenance of school lunchrooms, public schools, nursery schools, rural waterworks or water services, hospitals, scholarships for needy youths, milk stations, pension funds and the Emergency Fund, as well as to organizations engaged in slum clearance.
