§ 950 - Farm Bureaus—Reimbursement to fund; inspection and audit

The Secretary of the Treasury shall, upon request of the Secretary of Agriculture, assign and set aside from the fund of the corresponding bureau, the sums provided by the preceding sections, and said official shall make provision for the reimbursement thereof to the said fund in the proper cases; Provided, That the funds of the farm bureaus shall at all times be subject to the inspection and audit of the Comptroller; and Provided, further, That in the case of losses due to decomposition of agricultural products acquired chargeable to the funds of the bureaus, once said losses are accredited upon presentation of a certificate of seizure issued by a sanitation officer of the Department of Health, the farm bureau shall be released from the reimbursement to the fund of the amount of said losses.
