Section 9302 - Definitions
§ 9302. Definitions. The following words and phrases when used in this chapter shall have, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the meanings given to them in this section: "General Counsel." The General Counsel of the Commonwealth. "Grounds to investigate." Information which would lead a reasonable person to suspect that a crime is being or has been committed. "Independent counsel." A person appointed by the Special Independent Prosecutor's Panel upon the request of a special investigative counsel. "Panel." The Special Independent Prosecutor's Panel established under this chapter. "Special investigative counsel." A person appointed by the General Counsel to conduct a preliminary investigation under this chapter. |
