(1) Financial responsibility for any child placed pursuant to the provisions of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of Article V thereof in the first instance. However, in the event of partial or complete default of performance thereunder, the provisions of ORS chapter 110 and any other applicable laws also may be invoked.
(2) The "appropriate public authorities" as used in Article III of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children shall, with reference to this state, mean the Department of Human Services and the department shall receive and act with reference to notices required by Article III thereof.
(3) As used in paragraph (a) of Article V of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children, the phrase "appropriate authority in the receiving state" with reference to this state shall mean the Department of Human Services. [1975 c.482 §2; 1995 c.608 §39; 1999 c.59 §109; 2001 c.900 §250]
