Section 136.495 - Proceedings after adverse general verdict.

If a general verdict against the defendant is given, the defendant shall be remanded, if in custody; if the defendant has been released, the defendant may be committed to await the judgment of the court upon the verdict. When committed, the release agreement of the defendant is exonerated or, if the defendant has deposited money in lieu of a release agreement, it shall be refunded to the defendant.
