Section 658.465 - Liability of person using services of unlicensed farm labor contractor; issuance of bond to unlicensed farm labor contractor prohibited.

(1) Any person who knowingly uses the services of an unlicensed farm labor contractor shall be personally, jointly and severally liable with the person acting as a farm labor contractor to the same extent and in the same manner as provided in ORS 658.453 (4).

(2) No surety insurer shall provide any bond, undertaking, recognizance or other obligation for the purpose of securing or guaranteeing any act, duty or obligation, or the refraining from any act with respect to a contract using the services of a farm labor contractor unless the farm labor contractor has a valid license issued pursuant to ORS 658.405 to 658.503 at the time of issuance of the bond, undertaking, recognizance or other obligation.
