(1) An experimental area to serve as a field laboratory of the agricultural experiment station of Oregon State University is established.
(2) The experimental area shall be located in The Dalles district of Wasco County for conducting investigations and experimentation in the problems of producing, fertilizing, harvesting, varietal testing, soil improving, irrigating, handling, storing, utilizing, controlling diseases and pests, and on such other problems of horticultural and field crops as may arise in the area.
