351.638 Account for recruitment of faculty.


OR Rev Stat § 351.638 (through Leg Sess 2011) What's This?

(1) An account in the Oregon University System Fund established by ORS 351.506 is designated for the purpose of attracting new, outstanding faculty members to the public universities listed in ORS 352.002. This purpose includes payment of costs incurred in relocating new faculty, retraining necessary teaching assistants for new faculty, acquisition of equipment such as laboratory equipment and facilities to support research by new faculty, payment of other costs incurred in recruiting new faculty and payment of costs associated with committing salary supplements to newly recruited faculty over a period of more than one year.

(2) The State Board of Higher Education shall seek funds from private sources for deposit to the credit of the account designated by this section. [1987 c.630 1; 2009 c.762 20; 2011 c.637 56]
