341.534 Tuition waiver for students 65 years of age or older; rules.


OR Rev Stat § 341.534 (through Leg Sess 2011) What's This?

(1) The board of education of a community college district shall direct each community college under its control to waive tuition for any course audited by an Oregon resident 65 years of age or older if:

(a) Space is available in the course for additional students to register after tuition-paying students have registered;

(b) The department in which the course is being taught approves;

(c) The auditing student is registered for eight credits or fewer per term; and

(d) The course is a lower-division collegiate course.

(2) Each community college may charge the student attending under subsection (1) of this section fees associated with the course being audited.

(3) The board of education of a community college district may develop rules for implementation of this section, including rules relating to registration, admission and fees. [2009 c.344 2]
