583.610 Fees; reports on milk sales.
(1) The State Department of Agriculture may determine and assess a fee, not to exceed one cent per hundredweight on fluid milk, to be paid monthly by the handler, producer-handler or jobber who first sells the milk in this state.
(2) The department shall deposit all fees paid under this section in the Department of Agriculture Service Fund, and such fees are continuously appropriated to the department for the administration of ORS 583.600 to 583.630.
(3) To assist the department in its determination of fees under this section, the department may prescribe periodic reports to be submitted to the department by all handlers, producer-handlers and jobbers evidencing the volume of milk distributed during specific periods.
