§21-436. Attempt to escape from other prison than penitentiary.
Any prisoner confined in any other prison than the penitentiary, who attempts by force or fraud, although unsuccessfully, to escape therefrom, is guilty of a Class D2 felony offense punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one (1) year, to commence from the expiration of the original term of his imprisonment. Any subsequent conviction pursuant to this section shall be a Class D2 felony offense, punishable by imprisonment as provided for in subsection C of Section 20O of this title.
