Title 21. Crimes and Punishments
§21-1483. Extortion or attempted extortion.
Every person who extorts or attempts to extort any money or other property from another, under circumstances not amounting to robbery, by means of force or any threat such as is mentioned in Section 1482 of this title, upon conviction, shall be guilty of a Class D1 felony offense. A conviction for extortion is punishable by imprisonment as provided for in subsections B through F of Section 20N of this title. A conviction for attempted extortion is a Class D3 felony offense punishable by imprisonment as provided for in subsections B through F of Section 20P of this title.
