Title 45. Mines and Mining
§45-476. Inspectors may arrest whom.

The Chief Mine Inspector and each of his assistants are hereby empowered to act as police officers, with full power to arrest and detain any person found violating any provisions of the law relative to mining, or engaged in any attempt to violate any such law or part thereof, or against whom there is found any evidence of a previous violation of such law: Provided, however, that no such person shall be detained for any period of time longer than twenty-four (24) hours without warrant or the filing of a charge against him in a court of competent jurisdiction.
