§45-577. Tamping shots.

45 OK Stat § 45-577 (2015) What's This?

All holes shall be tamped with fire clay, or other noninflammable material, suitable for use in tamping, and in no case, shall coal drillings, coal dust, or small pieces of coal be used in tamping, and it shall be the duty of the mine owner, operator, lessee or agent of all coal mines to furnish the miner with suitable tamping material, delivered to his working place, to be prepared by the miner and placed at the mouth of each hole ready for the shot-firer to use in tamping.
