§63-1-319. Burial permit.

63 OK Stat § 63-1-319 (2014) What's This?

A. A burial transit permit issued under the laws of another state which accompanies a dead body or fetus brought into this state shall be authority for final disposition of the body or fetus in this state.

B. A permit for disinterment and reinterment shall be required prior to disinterment of a dead body or fetus except as authorized by regulation or otherwise provided by law. Such permit shall be issued by the State Registrar to a licensed funeral director, embalmer, or other person acting as such, upon proper application.

C. Application for disinterment shall include proof of notice to the owner(s) of the interment lot or burial space, if other than the applicant.

D. Application for disinterment shall include proof of notice to all surviving adult children of the decedent, if other than the applicant.
