Chapter 4723 - NURSES
Section 4723.492 - Exclusionary formula regarding authority to prescribe drugs and therapeutic devices.

The committee on prescriptive governance shall develop a recommended exclusionary formulary that specifies the drugs and therapeutic devices that a clinical nurse specialist, certified nurse-midwife, or certified nurse practitioner cannot prescribe or furnish. A recommended exclusionary formulary shall not permit the prescribing or furnishing of any drug or device prohibited by federal or state law.

The committee shall submit a recommended exclusionary formulary to the board of nursing at least twice each year for the board's approval. At the board's request, the committee shall reconsider a recommended exclusionary formulary it has submitted and resubmit the recommended exclusionary formulary to the board accordingly.
