5111.90 Contracts with political subdivisions to pay nonfederal share.


OH Rev Code § 5111.90 What's This?

(A) As used in sections 5111.90 to 5111.93 of the Revised Code:

(1) “Political subdivision” means a municipal corporation, township, county, school district, or other body corporate and politic responsible for governmental activities only in a geographical area smaller than that of the state.

(2) “State agency” means every organized body, office, or agency, other than the department of job and family services, established by the laws of the state for the exercise of any function of state government.

(B) To the extent permitted by Title XIX of the “Social Security Act,” 79 Stat. 286 (1965), 42 U.S.C.A. 1396, as amended, and regulations adopted under that title, the department of job and family services may enter into contracts with political subdivisions to use funds of the political subdivision to pay the nonfederal share of expenditures under the medicaid program. The determination and provision of federal financial reimbursement to a subdivision entering into a contract under this section shall be determined by the department, subject to section 5111.92 of the Revised Code, approval by the United States secretary of health and human services, and the availability of federal financial participation.
