2743.601 Applicability of certain provisions pertaining to reparations.


OH Rev Code § 2743.601 What's This?

Except as otherwise provided in this section, the amendments to sections 2743.51, 2743.56, 2743.59, and 2743.60 of the Revised Code made by the act in which this section was enacted apply to all applications for an award of reparations filed on or after the effective date of this section and to all applications for an award of reparations filed before the effective date of this section for which an award or denial of the claim by the attorney general, a panel of commissioners, or the court of claims has not yet become final. The amendments to section 2743.60 of the Revised Code made by the act in which this section was enacted, to the extent that they eliminate the statute of limitations and to the extent that they remove the seventy-two hour reporting requirement, and the amendments to section 2743.51 of the Revised Code concerning guardian bonds shall apply to all claims for an award of reparations pending on the effective date of this section and to all claims for an award of reparations filed on or after the effective date of this section that are based on criminally injurious conduct not previously addressed by the attorney general, by a panel of commissioners, or by the court of claims.
