4931.18 [Repealed Effective 9/13/2010] Transmission of a forged dispatch.

No person shall knowingly transmit by a telegraph line any false communication or intelligence, with intent to injure a person or to speculate in an article of merchandise, commerce, or trade, or with intent that another may do so, or shall knowingly send or deliver a dispatch that is forged, or not authorized by the person whose name purports to be signed to it. Any person violating this section is liable to the forfeiture provided in section 4931.14 of the Revised Code.
