2113.25 Application for further time to collect assets and administer estate.
So far as the executor or administrator is able, the executor or administrator of an estate shall collect the assets and complete the administration of that estate within thirteen months after the date of appointment.
Upon application of the executor or administrator and notice to the interested parties, if the probate court considers that notice necessary, the court may allow further time in which to collect assets, to convert assets into money, to pay creditors, to make distributions to legatees or distributees, to file partial, final, and distributive accounts, and to settle estates. The court, upon application of any interested party, may authorize the examination under oath in open court of the executor or administrator upon any matter relating to the administration of the estate.
