2006 Ohio Revised Code - 971.18. Duty of officers.
The court before whom action is brought, as authorized in
section 971.17 of the Revised Code, shall issue process against the defendant, directed to the sheriff of the county in which the court is situated, to serve and return such process, and the defendant shall answer thereto, and like proceedings shall be had as if such defendant resided in the township where the action was commenced.
