§ 4585.34. Purchaser takes clear title; owner's liability for damages.
A purchaser in good faith of any watercraft or outboard motor sold at public auction pursuant to
sections 4585.31 to
4585.33 of the Revised Code obtains the watercraft or motor free of any rights of the owner or any lienholder or mortgagee, despite noncompliance by the owner of the property with the requirements of
sections 4585.31 to
4585.33 of the Revised Code. The owner of the property is liable for damages caused by his failure to comply with
sections 4585.31 to
4585.33 of the Revised Code.
