§ 4549.10. Illegal operation of manufacturer's or dealer's motor vehicle.
 

(A)  No person shall operate or cause to be operated upon a public road or highway a motor vehicle of a manufacturer or dealer unless the vehicle carries and displays two placards, except as provided in section 4503.21 of the Revised Code, issued by the director of public safety that bear the registration number of its manufacturer or dealer. 

(B)  Whoever violates division (A) of this section is guilty of illegal operation of a manufacturer's or dealer's motor vehicle, a minor misdemeanor on a first offense and a misdemeanor of the fourth degree on each subsequent offense.

Effect of Amendments

S.B. 123, Acts 2002, effective January 1, 2004, redesignated former introductory paragraph as (A), substituted "the vehicle" for "such vehicle" and "that bear" for "bearing," and made minor stylistic changes; and added (B).
