§ 3727.02. Certification or accreditation requirements for hospitals.
 

(A)  No person and no political subdivision, agency, or instrumentality of this state shall operate a hospital unless it is certified under Title XVIII of the "Social Security Act," 49 Stat. 620 (1935), 42 U.S.C. 301, as amended, or is accredited by the joint commission on accreditation of hospitals or the American osteopathic association. 

(B)  No person and no political subdivision, agency, or instrumentality of this state shall hold out as a hospital any health facility that is not certified or accredited as required in division (A) of this section.
