§ 147.12. Acts after expiration of term or resignation valid.
An official act done by a notary public after the expiration of the notary public's term of office or after the notary public resigns the notary public's commission is as valid as if done during the notary public's term of office.

The effective date is set by § 612.12 of 151 v H 66.
Effect of Amendments
151 v H 66, effective June 30, 2005, inserted "or after the notary public resigns the notary public's commission" and made gender neutral changes.
