[§ 117.09.1] § 117.091. Appointment of investigators.
 

For the purpose of discharging the duties of the auditor of state, the auditor of state may appoint any investigators that are necessary. The auditor of state shall not appoint a person as an investigator under this section unless the person holds a valid certificate from the Ohio peace officer training council. While engaged in the scope of the investigator's duties in enforcing this chapter, an investigator appointed under this section has all of the powers and authority of a peace officer under the laws of this state, except for the power and authority to carry a concealed weapon.
