§ 163-278.25 - Issuance of declaration of nomination or certificate of election.
163-278.25. Issuance of declaration of nomination or certificate of election.
No declaration of nomination and no certificate of election shall be granted to any candidate until the candidate or his treasurer has filed the statements referring to the election he is required to file under this Article. Within 24 hours after reaching a decision that a declaration of nomination or certificate of election should not be granted, the Board shall give written notice of that decision, by telegraph or certified mail, to the candidate and the candidate's treasurer. Failure to grant certification shall not affect a successful candidate's title to an office to which he has been otherwise duly elected. (1973, c. 1272, s. 1; 2017-6, s. 3; 2018-146, s. 3.1(a), (b).)
