§ 143‑215.94F.  Limited amnesty.

Any owner or operator who reports a suspected discharge or release from an underground storage tank prior to 1 October 1989 shall not be liable for any civil penalty that might otherwise be imposed pursuant to G.S. 143‑215.88A(a) for violations of G.S. 143‑215.83(a) and G.S. 143‑215.85.  The limited amnesty provided by this section shall not apply upon a finding by the Commission that the discharge or release was the result of gross negligence or an intentional act.
