§ 127A-71. Disbursing and accounting officer.

§ 127A‑71.  Disbursing and accounting officer.

The Governor shall appoint a disbursing officer, approved by and of such rank as may be prescribed by the Secretary of the Navy, to perform such duties as the Secretary of the Navy may prescribe. The Governor shall also appoint the above described disbursing officer, or such other officer of the pay corps of the naval militia as he may elect, as accounting officer for each battalion thereof, or at his option for each larger unit or combination of units of the same, who shall be responsible for the proper accounting for all public property issued to and for the use of such battalion or larger unit or combination of units.
