140-A - Offenses Against the Navigation Law.

Universal Citation: NY Nav L § 140-A (2019)

§ 140-a. Offenses against the navigation law. Any person having the charge, command or control of a vessel who:

1. Carries or permits a vessel to carry a greater number of passengers than is stated in the certificate of inspection of such vessel issued under section sixty-three of this chapter; or

2. Neglects to carry on a vessel the equipment required by section sixty-seven of this chapter; or

3. Neglects to carry on a vessel the fire pump required by section fifty-six of this chapter; or

4. Violates any other provision of this chapter; or for which no other punishment is prescribed, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
