22-1070 - Activities Prohibited.
Universal Citation: NY Env Cons L § 22-1070 (2019)
§ 22-1070. Activities prohibited.No person shall mine for uranium by any method including, but not limited to, drilling, excavation and liquid or chemical extraction. Nothing in this article shall be construed to prohibit or in any way restrict mining for coal, peat, garnet, marble, granite, or any other material which may contain traces of uranium in amounts which are uneconomical to extract or remove for commercial and industrial use.
