365-C - Council; duties.
§ 365-c. Council; duties. The duties of the council shall include, but not be limited to: 1. Conducting a comprehensive study of, and preparing a report on, including an engineering study of, available space near the New York state capitol, empire state plaza, or any contiguous public site suitable for a veterans' hall of fame; the suitable storage of materials related to the veterans' hall of fame; the display area for rotating exhibits of the veterans' hall of fame; a traveling exhibit; and a financial assessment of all options discussed. 2. When reviewing options for a permanent veterans' hall of fame, the council shall examine and consider the following: the suitable storage of the material relating to the veterans' hall of fame, which shall include, but not be limited to: (a) specific dimensions for storage and exhibit areas; and (b) location of the site for the permanent site for the veterans' hall of fame. 3. The duties imposed by this section shall be completed within the first three years of the council's operation. A final written report of the council's recommendations pursuant to subdivisions one and two of this section shall be issued when the underlying duties have been completed. This report shall contain its findings, conclusions, and recommendations, together with such legislative proposals as are deemed necessary by the council to implement its recommendations. This written report shall be filed with the governor, the temporary president of the senate, and the speaker of the assembly.
