§ 56. Non-duplication of benefits. If benefits are required to be paid under this chapter in the event of injury to or death of a volunteer fireman, the volunteer fireman or other persons entitled to such benefits shall not receive workmen's compensation under the provisions of the workmen's compensation law in relation to such injury or death.
