  § 407. Summons; action commenced pursuant to CPLR § 303.
    In  any  action  in this court commenced by service of summons upon an
  attorney or a clerk as agent, as authorized by CPLR § 303, such  service
  may  be made in any part of the county or any adjoining county and shall
  otherwise be made in such manner as would  confer  jurisdiction  on  the
  supreme court in a like case.
