2006 New York Code - Existing Legislation.
§ 79-l. Existing legislation. All local laws, ordinances, rules or regulations of the several towns which are in effect on the effective date of consolidation, shall remain in effect for a period of two years following such date, and shall be enforced by the new town board within the limits of each of the several towns, except that the new town board shall have the power at any time to amend or repeal such legislation as if it had been enacted by the new town.
