2006 New York Code - Construction And Administration Of Public Homes



 
    § 202. Construction and administration of public homes. 1. No building
  to be used as a public home shall be constructed, or remodeled, in whole
  or  in  part,  except  on  plans  and designs approved in writing by the
  department provided that such approval in writing in  the  city  of  New
  York  shall  be  by  the  mayor  of said city, and except that plans and
  designs for the construction of or remodeling in whole or in part  of  a
  public  home  infirmary,  or  the  infirmary  of a public home, shall be
  approved in accordance with the provisions of  article  twenty-eight  of
  the public health law.
    2.  It  shall be the duty of the department to send to the legislative
  body and the public welfare official  in  charge  of  a  public  home  a
  written  statement as to any abuses, defects or evils, which it may find
  in  the  public  home  or  in  the  administration  thereof,  and   such
  legislative body and official shall take action to remedy such condition
  in accordance with such advice.
