2006 New York Code - Penalties For Injuries To Baggage.



 
    §  67.  Penalties for injuries to baggage. Any person whose duty it is
  for or on behalf of the common carrier to handle, remove,  or  care  for
  the  baggage  of  passengers, who shall recklessly or wilfully injure or
  destroy any trunk, valise, box, bag, package or parcel,  while  loading,
  unloading, transporting, delivering or storing the same, or any railroad
  corporation,  which  shall  knowingly  keep  in  its employment any such
  wilful  or  reckless  person,  or  which  shall  permit  any  injury  or
  destruction of such property, through failure to provide sufficient help
  and  facilities for the handling thereof, shall pay to the party injured
  thereby the sum of fifty dollars, in addition to such damages.
