§ 348. County or part-county health districts; sanitary codes; violations and penalties. 1. The provisions of the sanitary code of a county or part-county health district shall have the force and effect of law. 2. Any non-compliance or non-conformance with any provision of such sanitary code or of a rule or regulation, duly made thereunder shall constitute a violation punishable on conviction for a first offense by a fine of not more than two hundred fifty dollars or by imprisonment for not more than fifteen days or by both such fine and imprisonment; and for a second or subsequent offense by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not exceeding fifteen days, or both. 3. Certified copies of the sanitary code of a county or part-county health district shall be received in evidence in all courts and proceedings in the state.
