2006 New York Code - Reports And Records.



 
    §   3343.   Reports  and  records.  1.  Prescriptions  and  copies  of
  prescriptions shall be preserved in the following manner:
    (a)  dispensing  practitioners   filing   information   electronically
  pursuant  to  subdivision six of section thirty-three hundred thirty-one
  of  this  article,  shall  dispose  of   any   electronically   recorded
  information  in such manner as the commissioner in consultation with the
  commissioner of education shall by regulation require;
    (b) pharmacists dispensing  controlled  substances  upon  prescription
  shall  preserve such prescriptions in such manner as the commissioner in
  consultation with the commissioner of education  shall,  by  regulation,
  require.
    2.   Practitioners  and  pharmacies  shall  maintain  records  of  all
  controlled substances received and  dispensed  in  such  manner  as  the
  commissioner shall, by regulation, require.
