2006 New York Code - Jones Beach Theatre



 
    § 7.13 Jones beach theatre.  1. Notwithstanding any other provision of
  law,  in  addition to the powers, functions and duties conferred upon it
  by the otherwise consistent provisions of this article, the Long  Island
  state  park  and  recreation commission shall prepare an annual plan for
  the Jones beach theatre within the ninth park region.
    2. Such plan shall include, but need not be limited to,  selection  of
  the  producer,  types  of  program produced, and the advertising for the
  promotion of events to be staged at such theatre.
    3. The Long Island state park, recreation  and  historic  preservation
  commission  shall be empowered to approve the selection of the producer,
  type of program produced and the advertising for the promotion of events
  to be staged at the Jones beach theatre.  Such  approval  shall  not  be
  unreasonably withheld.
    4.  The  commission  may  request,  and  the  commissioner  is  hereby
  authorized to provide assistance in the preparation of the  plan  herein
  provided for.
