    § 1611. Fees to the city of New York. 1. Every city marshal who serves
  in  office  for any portion of the calendar year shall pay an annual fee
  to the city of New York of fifteen hundred dollars.
    2. Every city marshal shall,  in  addition  to  the  fee  required  by
  subdivision  one,  pay  annually to the city of New York 4.50 percent of
  the gross fees, including poundage, received by the marshal  during  the
  preceding calendar year.
    3.  The  fees  paid  to  the city of New York pursuant to this section
  shall be disbursed for the purposes of this article.
