2006 New York Code - Stoves And Ranges.



 
    *  § 27-4278 Stoves and ranges. No stove, range, oven or other heating
  device  which  is  fueled  directly,  including  those  using   gas   or
  electricity  as  fuel,  and  which  is  used  for processing combustible
  fabrics with flammable mixtures or combustible mixtures having  a  flash
  point  of  less  than  one  hundred  twenty-five  degrees  Fahrenheit as
  determined by a Tagliabue  open  cup  tester,  shall  be  maintained  or
  installed  hereafter in a non-fireproof building except on the top story
  of such building unless such  building  is  provided  with  an  approved
  automatic sprinkler system throughout.
