2006 New York Code - Scope Of Subchapter; Definitions.

§ 27-4214 Scope of subchapter; definitions. a. (1) "Safety film", as
defined in this section, creates a much lower fire and toxicity hazard
than flammable motion picture film, as defined in section 27-4202 of the
code. In order to separate the regulation, under the code, of
establishments which handle safety film exclusively from the regulation

considered desirable to establish this separate subchapter.
    (2) The definitions and regulatory provisions within this subchapter
shall apply only to those establishments which handle safety film
exclusively, notwithstanding any other provisions in this chapter to the
  contrary.
