2006 New York Code - Restrictions.



 
    § 27-4204 Restrictions. a. No permit for the handling, use, storage or
  recovery  of  flammable  motion  picture  film  shall  be issued for any
  building:
    1. Which is situated within fifty feet of  the  nearest  wall  of  any
  building  occupied  as  a  school,  theatre  or  other  place  of public
  amusement or assembly; provided, however, that  this  restriction  shall
  not apply to the renewal of permits previously granted;
    2.  Where  the  building  does not comply with the requirements of the
  building code regulating high hazard occupancies for  buildings  erected
  after  the sixth day of December, nineteen hundred sixty-eight; or where
  a building or building  section  erected  prior  thereto  is  not  fully
  equipped  with  an  approved  automatic  sprinkler  system; or where the
  building is occupied as a multiple dwelling, school,  theatre  or  other
  place of public amusement or assembly;
    3. Which is artificially lighted by any means other than electricity;
    4.  Which  does not contain one or more vaults or cabinets constructed
  as described in this subchapter, to be used exclusively for the  storage
  of such films.
    b. Restriction one shall not apply to screening or projection rooms as
  covered by section 27-4206 of this subchapter.
