2006 New York Code - Stop-work Notice And Order.



 
    §   27-227   Stop-work   notice   and  order.  Upon  notice  from  the
  commissioner, or his or her authorized representatives, that any work at
  any building or building site is being  executed  in  violation  of  the
  provisions of this code or other applicable laws or regulations, or in a
  dangerous  or unsafe manner, such work shall immediately be stopped. The
  notice shall be given to the owner or lessee of the  property  involved,
  or to the agent of either of them, or to the person or persons doing the
  work,  and  may  be  continued  in  a  stop-work  order  issued  by  the
  commissioner stating the reasons for the issuance of the order  and  the
  conditions under which the work may be resumed.
