2006 New York Code - Voluntary Abatement Of Unsafe Or Dangerous Conditions.



 
    § 26-237 Voluntary abatement of unsafe or dangerous conditions. If the
  person  served  with  a  notice  as  specified in section 26-236 of this
  article shall immediately certify his or her assent to the  securing  or
  removal  of  such  unsafe  or  dangerous structures or premises, or such
  structure which is dangerous or unsafe as a fire hazard  or  detrimental
  to  human life, health or morals, he or she shall be allowed twenty-four
  hours, running from the time of service of such notice, within which  to
  commence   the   abatement  of  the  unsafe,  dangerous  or  detrimental
  condition. Such person shall employ sufficient labor and  assistance  to
  secure or remove such conditions as expeditiously as possible.
