§ 18-101 Department of parks and recreation; commissioner. a. Definitions. Whenever used in this title, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) "Commissioner" means the commissioner of parks and recreation. (2) "Department" means the department of parks and recreation. b. The commissioner may delegate to an executive officer, an assistant executive officer, a director of maintenance and operation and any or all of the three deputies whom the commissioner is authorized to appoint authority to act generally for or in place of the commissioner, in relation to his or her powers and to perform such of the duties of the commissioner as such commissioner shall deem necessary. Such delegation of authority shall be evidenced by an instrument in writing to be filed in the principal office of the department.
