2006 New York Code - Bond.



 
    § 93. Bond.  Before granting any such license, the commissioners shall
  require the applicant to furnish a bond to the  people  of  this  state,
  with  two sureties to be approved by such commissioners or a majority of
  them, in a penalty not exceeding five hundred dollars. Such  bond  shall
  be  conditioned upon the diligent and faithful performance by such pilot
  of his duties, and upon his obedience  to  the  rules,  regulations  and
  decisions  of  the  commissioners  of  pilots.  Every such bond shall be
  prosecuted in the name of the people of the state of New York, by or  in
  behalf  of  the  commissioners,  provided  a  majority  of them shall so
  instruct, and if any amount be collected in such suit it shall  be  paid
  to  the  commissioners,  who may thereupon direct the same to be applied
  for the purposes specified in subdivision two of section ninety-seven of
  this article.
