2006 New York Code - Effect Of Federal Legislation



 
    § 197. Effect  of  federal  legislation. If the United States congress
  enacts legislation providing compensation in the event of a discharge of
  petroleum,  the  commissioner  shall  determine  to  what  degree   that
  legislation  provides the needed protection for our citizens, businesses
  and environment and shall make the appropriate  recommendations  to  the
  legislature for amendments to this article.
